Raleigh will host three free street racket ball clinics in May, and is pegging the activity as fun for the whole family. What is street racket ball? The city describes it as a portable sport that can be played anywhere and is a cross between four-square and pickleball.
Here’s a YouTube video of it. Basically you need some paddles, chalk and a ball.
During the free clinics in Raleigh, you’ll learn more about the sport, learn about doubles and singles play and talk about different ways to adapt the game.
The sessions are
- 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., May 5, at Millbrook Exchange Community Center
- 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., May 10, at Optimist Community Center
- 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m, May 14, at Greystone Recreation Center
These are free and open to the public. Check the city’s website for more information about the locations and how to register.
