Make the Diagnosis: It’ll be A Tricky Diagnosis

Presentation

A 6-year-old boy was at the doctor for a regular checkup and his father asked the doctor to take a look at a red lesion on the helical rim of his ear. The papule was smooth and well-defined. It didn’t seem to bother the little boy at all. His father said they had noticed it developing since the last time they were at the doctor several months ago and wanted to make sure it wasn’t something to worry about.
